...as a prayer

Looking at you with her
moistens my eyes
not because it's not me at her place
but that a person like you exists
who when chose someone to love and be loved by,
he chose her for always, for life.
And no matter what the world said/wrote/published,
he held her hand in his
and waved to the world with a smile
with love shining in his eyes,
a proof of what he lives by.

Your voice drew me to you
Your eyes furthered my liking
And it's your commitment,
the way you love,
the way you care,
that makes me love you.

People spend a lifetime finding
that one constant,
that one finality
that shall always hold true
no matter how life is,
no matter where they are.
On the contrary,
I was introduced to mine
by a song
the words of which I did not comprehend, at first
but the voice
set ablaze a list of crushes,
engraved a name
on my heart.

They call me crazy
And I smile and retort, 'For him, always'.
They call him my obsession
I call it devotion.
They say I am building castles mid-air
I spell his name as a prayer.

"Remember when..."

All it takes sometime is a confession
All it takes some is a lifetime to make so
All it took me was a few seconds to realize that
The one I would ever want so much
is already mine.

To catch a glimpse of universe
To whisper your name to the stars
To believe that a part of heaven is what you are, residing in my heart
It didn't take me
much time.

And finally I held your gaze
And forever it took you to notice
And the steps backtracked, tears trickled, voices cracked
but at the goodbye
we struck a synced rhyme.

It's a memory lane I don't traverse
It's a story I skip through
It's a dream I don't talk of
yet with every blink and beat
I defy those lines.

The sweetest accomplishment of my life
The one that shall always hold true
The way I don't picture you and say "What if..."
but the way
I narrate a "Remember when..."

Faded away

Playing with ash doesn't rekindle the fire
Apologies ain't accepted when the receiver lays on pyre
Tears don't express much, it's cliché to make eyes rain.
I have played with embers all my life
I know my scars by name,
I know what it is to wait a little more
and make friends with the smothering pain.
When words replace the blood, heartbeats skip often, play games
A storm of memories engulfs
Nothing worth a glance this world seems to contain,
That's the kind of close you were
That's the kind of close you were before lights dimmed, curtain fell and life faded away.

The girl who spelled 'LIFE' as 'LOVE'

In memories, In smiles
In every word I will ever write;
You shall Live!

I miss you, Anuranjani.
Rest In Love and Peace.

A fountain of love
Forever bubbling with joy
the sunshine smile
eyes brimming with dreams
that fly up high.

With her fairy wand she weaved a life
beautified the simplest emotions with her words,
I never heard her voice
but I am sure it must have been the cutest chirp.
She was always all smiles and shine
even if deep down it hurt.

The day she flew far off
to a place I know not,
I understood the life she left behind
as I read her blog for the n-th time.
A fresh set of tears trickled down my face
realizing how she went away
solving my life's toughest maze.

"Don't wait for things to happen
For they might not really be
Just take a leap of faith and Love with all your heart
For it's somewhere in there where Life takes place".

...'I do'

Some tears I let brim
Some memories I set to snow
Some moments I have captured in silences
The ones no photographs can show.

It's about the million dreams I weaved around you
or for the silent vows I promised
I don't know.

Maybe you don't realize the insanity, the intensity with which I have loved you
So much that today, I can even play with destiny
by letting you go.

'Cause there is something you don't know
and I do
Someday you are walking down that aisle with me
and reciprocating my 'I do'.

It just wouldn't rhyme, without you!

Frozen in a fable of love
her fragile feelings attained an unfathomable silence,
Fearing a fallout she fastened her heart in chains
so as not to fancy anyone ever again.

While he boasted of being her first and forever
Her feeble self lay on the floor,
A heart-rending sight it was
to see the once living personification of happiness, implore.

It rained the day she died
And he did come over and cry,
The only hope she lived on
was finally a reality in front of her closed eyes.

They say she scribbled a diary once
No one knows where it lies,
An almost-blank paper was found
with a pink bunny seated by its side.

It read what probably are her last words
to the world, to that guy:
"What ignorance did is nothing but
made me realize,
that even if I laid my life down to pieces
I would still be invisible to your eyes."

Confessions #3

In the world of eyes, the glitter isn't gold.
Just frozen tears forever melting on the pyre of memories but forbidden to flow.

Confessions #2

From a distance smiles are all glitter and glory,
Take a close look, the eyes will speak a different story.

Confessions #1

Days went by in a daze, just the mere mention of you was enough;
And today, I stop mid-sentence, smile to hide the tears brimming in my eyes and change the topic to refrain from taking your name, to escape the hollowing pain.
